They are actually the tv station network for the flim 4 production company that does a lot of the good Brit films - East is East, Bend it Like Beckham, etc. One of their channels is an all foreign film channel. Jean de Florette & the follow up Manon des sources - they will solve the mystery of why Gérard Depardieu is a star.
Au revoir les enfants - Louis Malle masterpiece and the first film I was shown in film class as a teen.
Run Lola Run - well duh, everyone has heard of it but it is good
Cinema Paradiso - sweet
La Notte di San Lorenzo (Night of the Shooting Stars) - A good take on the war theme.
and then what sucks is that there are loads that I have watched but don't know the names.
Ones I really want to see:
Together - I have the dvd on loan, I'll stick it in tonight
City Of God - It sold out everywhere I tried to see it and then disapeared. Should be on tv soon now that it is on dvd.
Talk To Her - I saw 15 minutes of it on tv and it looked really good but for some reason I didn't finish watching.Comment
