    Feds to enforce 2257

    I just got this e-mail from Facial Cash-


    "Dear Webmasters,
    Our legal firm reports that the Federal Government will soon begin
    enforcing existing 2257 notification laws for porn shown on the net.
    Therefore, to stay current with this legal trend, we require that all
    affiliates start posting the below 2257 link on any and all pages where you use any COHF content.Any affiliate that does not post the above 2257 link is subject to having their affiliate account terminated, plus is subject to prosecution from the Feds if they decide to target you. So let's play it safe for yourself and COHF, please post the above 2257 link on any and all pages containing COHF content (and we recommend that you post a different 2257 link for any other porn sites you promote)

          It's important to have 2257 anyways. It's not a big deal for the feds to push it. And if they are good for them, make sure everyone is filming people of legit age and legit id's

                  A lot of sponsors are taking this approach now. The people that are PROACTIVE to complying with these rules will be in the porn game a long time. It's no big deal really all you have to do is put a little quote at the bottom of your gallery/page like this

                      by the way, they recently hired something like 25 ADDITIONAL prosecutors to go after porn. You guys better get your paperwork together.

                              only problem with that for galleries is a lot of TGPs allow a limited amount of outgoing urls.. if you have 3 recips, your sponsor and a counter.. you're allready at 5 out going urls.. did they say it had to be a link or can you just type in the url and not link it?

                                  It will be interesting right off the bat all those people without a physical addresses on the cust. of records are in violation, PO boxes and email addresses arent going to cut it. I think if they enforce this you will see a big drop in mom pop porn.also in single girl doing a website out of her house but doesnt want to put her address up.

                                      This does make some sense. However if the sponsor has a 2257 notice on their site and they provide their affiliates with the correct info they should be save as they did what they were required to do. If the affiliate would not display the 2257 the affiliate is the one that gets trouble by the Feds. So the reason for this can only be that the Sponsor does not want the Feds to ask them for the affiliate info all the time due to the correct affiliate info the sponsors would have.
                                      SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
