    Sympathy for Choker

    From SMT:

    Please do not icq me about clearing payments in or out. I have been hopsitalized since Sunday morning due to a ruptured appendix,and have limited access to the web. I hope to be out by saturday. I will get everything cleared up as fast as possible, thank you.

              been there... spent 5 days in the hospital while they had to flush out my system.... was not fun.

              They put me on the operating table as it ruptured and poisoned my system.... I was lucky cause it happens damn fast.

                          From what I've heard, it's mainly pain in your lower abdomen that's so bad you want to cut your belly open and rip your insides out just to try to make it stop. I had a friend who had it and she said it was excruciating.

                          I knew he wasn't feeling well but I didn't realize it was THIS serious. I hope you feel better very soon, Choker.

                              well, I was fine until I went to bed.... had a sore stomach. I didn't sleep at all all night, and when I got up at 8am, I couldn't stand up right... my entire right side was pretty much paralyzed from pain.... was all gimped. Couldn't put my right foot down or anything.

                              So my roommate helped me into the car, and drove me to the hospital and they put me on the operating table right away.

                              happened that fast.

                              But most often.... it's a pain just above the hip... on the right hand side. It's in the front of your body around the lower right of your stomach.

                              If there's a sharp pain in that area, it's your appendix.

                                      I had this happen about 4 years back. I actually thought it was kidney stones again(I used to get them alot before I quit drinking).

                                      It hurts, enough where I went to the hospital after about 8 hours (I figured if it was a stone, I'd had passed it by that point). The biggest pain in the ass is the recovery. If your appendix is ruptured, they cant stitch you up - so the healing process is much longer, and you get to go thru the joy of changing your own dressing once you get released.

                                      Anyway, get well soon Choker. Hope you're a fast healer.

                                              me too....on a family trip to Cooperstown the day before the '94 CA earthquake. I have never since known such pain.

                                                  Yeah, I remember that part too..... bastards let me go with a gaping hole in my gut... could see right inside and everything and it heals closed on it's own, not all nice and neat like a stitch job would.

                                                          Had that when back from Bogota, I tought I had an exotic disease. Was walking in the hospital when it ruptured. They operated within the hour after I gribbled my signature.

                                                          But they fucked up and the infection stayed. Had to reopen a second time to mop up, and couldn't sew it back up: they put a type of tape. Stayed 10 days in hospital on demerol, then a month home...

                                                          So I wish well to chocker...
                                                          I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !

                                                          But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....

                                                              I thought it was pretty gross myself. Oh well, I'm glad I'll never have to go through that again.

                                                                          My sister has you all beat.. she went on a trip to Egypt to tour the pyramids and got the pains. She was lucky that there was a car around to get her to the midevil era hospital and not left to wait for the local camel ambulance to arrive otherwise she would've died.

                                                                          That's one of my fears, to have to end up getting operated on in a foreign third world type of country. Not as bad as getting eaten by a shark or dying in a plane crash though, but pretty damn close!

                                                                                  My boyfriend had his rupture back in February. Apparently, his had ruptured at home a day or two before the emergency room. Doctors said it was wild, because he didn't really have a lot of pain when it happened. It poisened his whole body. Immediate surgery, induced coma with breathing tube for 8 days, ICU for 2 weeks, another surgery....

                                                                                  To sum it up, he went in Feb. 17th, and got out March 24th! He also was sent home completely open....that is some wicked shit!!

I was walking around thinking I had pulled something working out. Turns out my appendix was leaking and poisoning me. Finally I got so sick I went to the ER and discovered my appendix was in several pieces but my body formed an absess (sp?) and walled it off from the rest of my body (minus small leaks).

                                                                                                                                      Sucked 5 days with a gaping hole in my gut. Nite 2 I bled out and woke soaked in blood head to toe. Didnt sleep good the rest of the time. Scarey shit.
