      A person I know was "spammed" at home

      ...he received a phone call from a hosting company (which I will keep un-named) that posts to this board...trying to get him to change hosts.

      Has this happened to others here?

                      Yup, happened to me before. I use rackspace and they kept trying to tell me that Rackspace doesn't offer managed hosting but we do... this girl had no clue and her telling me I don't know what I'm talking about was not the best move to get me to switch hosts. I ended up just hanging up on her once she started rambling about how great we are, blah blah...

                                  Yes, about a year ago. The dude sounded very nervous and told me the host I was with at the time had crappy servers, and they could give me a better deal.
