If you do this one, make sure you make it a slave drive and then return it to master, otherwise you could really screwup the registry. Yeah, it should in theory workout ok, but in practice, there can be problems.
The battery and reset button work, but you've been caught.
There could be a lot of reasons for the startup password. Idea! Ask her. She maynot know how to turn it off or have a good reason.
