I'm know, I'm not an American but I wanna say this anyway...
the Patriot Act is a total oxymoron because the one thing it is not... is patriotic.
It's supposed to be "patriotic" in that it safeguards the country but it's not the slightest bit patriotic in the way that it takes away fundamental freedoms of the people and gives authorities the right to do practically anything it chooses... which is the first step to a military state.
