Why do people get all into these films, when they know they are likely to come out of the theatre's after watching it and saying "wtf was that all about then" ???

Fair enough for everyone who know's what shit is goin' on, but i can't be arsed with it at all.

Didn't find the first one interesting in the least, and never bothered with the second.

Just don't see the appeal of something which is pissing so many people off.

Yes i probably am too fucked up to understand any of it, but i couldn't give a fuck.

Unless you wrote the script and directed/produced the movie -- you have no fucking clue... You probably missed 90% of the symbolism/references/concepts -- much of it is implicit -- film is an artform. There's no Matrix for Dummies.

War games was my favorite movie when I was 15

And if enjoying movies that make me think makes me a geek... well fuck off, I'm no geek, I spent many years surrounded by them and I know the difference. But I do have a brain and I like to use it. And the lord of the rings is a AWESOME book! That's why I like the movie, because I love the book and the movies is a great way to see those things I read about. Now fuck off you losers

I liked The Matrix, and the sequel. I also liked Lord of the Rings, and the sequel. I'm sure I'll like the finales of each series.

I don't feel smarter than anyone... although I do believe most people miss a lot of symbolism in The Matrix, because it deals with religious and philosophical issues in a way that doesn't spoonfeed the viewer. Even if you think you understood it, there may be things you're not catching... and I'm sure there's a lot I didn't catch.

And by the way, normally I hate high budget blockbusters.

ive enjoyed both matrix / matrix reloaded and both the lord of the rings so far... they all made sense to me its not THAT complex - yeah theres some stuff thats fun to question and that i dont quite get but isnt that the point of a movie like the matrix???

but anyway who fucking cares about my opinion??
they are JUST MOVIES.
its purpose is simply to entertain.
