Anybody ever paid the $600 for inclusion in the yahoo directory and been REJECTED?
Anybody?
If so, can you please post the site?
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
Yes & No. What reason did they give you? You can appeal the decision. I'd say it's pretty hard to get rejected by Yahoo! so you must have fucked up pretty bad.
I myself have never taken yahoo up on their service.
I just want to know if they reject sites often, and I would like to take a look at a rejected site so I can see how bad it is.
It would be shame to throw away $600

It's not worth paying $600 for the Yahoo directory. I have many sites listed for free before they started charging and I don't get $600 worth of traffic from any of them. Save your money.

That is true indeed. By default, Yahoo! used to search their directory (where you site gets submitted) and the hits were actually decent (before Google stormed in and took over). Now, not only are they using Google, they have changed them as the default search. It's actually insane. Your listing barley comes up anymore. It's not worth it anymore if you ask me.

I dunno. I, too, have multiple free listings, none of them get any traffic anymore. But the new site that has a $600 listing gets several hundred hits per day.
No promises, but unless I'm just lucky I think they funnel some traffic to the paying listings.

See, the problem with Yahoo! is that now they actually want to offer valuable and good results because they know that's how Google won over the net. How can they do that with sites that are only submitted and paid for?
I had a website rejected because my content was not "original" enough. You only get one appeal, (sucks) and explained that my content for this particular website is actually exclusive. I was very polite and explained in detail what the future plans were and the website was accepted. That was the last website I ever paid the $600.00 for. In all ive submited 4 and this includes going back in the day when it was only $199.00 Now those were the days. That 199.00 was usually paid for within hours of being listed. The $600.00 fee is a little high, but it was worth it for me. However this was 3 years ago when the search results all pointed to their directory listings. It's a joke if you ask me. Alot of people paid good money, and helped Yahoo earn big $$$$ and then they go and fuck us all. I still get traffic from them, and but nothing compared to the good ole days. The 600.00 fee is a joke now. Concentrate on a high Google ranking and your website will have a high Yahoo ranking.
For $600 you could probably pay someone on GFY to do a couple days worth of SE work for a small niche (mainstream or otherwise).... depending on the niche, this could go A LOT farther than $600 @ Yahoo.
Submitting to Yahoo now is just not worth it. $600 per year.
Last october, they started to include Google into their results, but some preference was still given to Yahoo directory sites.
Until about a month ago, except on a few select terms.
Now it is all Google results.
Yahoo is worthless and fucked as it is now.
I paid for inclusion into Inktomi. That right there was worth it. Got me listed in Yahoo! and I get decent flow of traffic. Then again, it's a mainstream site, so results may vary.
WickedFire.com - Stay here. We don't need more of you. Not unless you have money, then, fine...

Go build a ProAdult Site and submit that to yahoo. Proadult will pay you an extra $50 a month all year so your listing at yahoo cost you nothing. If the traffic is good then you can decide if you want to pay for your other site.

cool :D Will you earn it back ? how ,much traffic you can exspect?
I had a site rejected back when it was till worthwhile to buy into the directory, appealed it, and won, but they gave me a shitty description.
Is it worth doing now? Doubtful. They changed their serps so many times, you really can't trust them. Worth a try, just for the experience, I suppose.
Make sure you put some sort of unique content in the site. Probably easiest to write your own sex story. Short of that, make sure you have at least 50% brand new content. If you can't make some sort of exclusive or new content argument you are fucked, and they could give a shit.
Like I'm gonna post a url to one of my sites on gfy if I don't absolutely have to- oh yeah, that would be bright.
