I am doing the same thing right now. I owe them back taxes and they mailed me a letter with payment arrangements and I have to pay $65 month. The first month I mailed them $1,500 , the next month as much as I could. I always mail in as much as I can, I don't want to spend 10 yrs paying off a debt that's a few k mailing in $65 every month... that will take forever. Just send in as much as you can and get it over with. I hate owing money, the less debt I owe the more stress-free I feel.
