I've been in real estate for 20 years. I'm a licensed real estate broker and I own a mortgage company.

You can make money, but it's not as easy as the late-night TV "get rich quick" quys would have you believe. If you have been reading some of those guys, check out this website:

buy before the bubble burst! It is getting near bursting in many places.

The fact that everyone thinks they can make money in real estate now is reason to worry. Real Estate shouldn't go up much more than inflation in most places each year. Lots of places are seeing over 10% a year appreciation now. The bubble is going to pop!
