Wouldn't it be kinda hard NOT to fill in the shave boxes while configuring your affiliate control panel? I think it encourages sponsors to use it, by being an option, It's giving the sponsor the Idea that it's OK. Like everyones doing it.

      I say...

If you want a sponsor that don't shave, and you don't know which to trust. Fucking make one! Get that fucking script and a few paysites... And make sure you fill them fucking boxes with ZEROS!

      Can ya do it???
      Well, CAN YA???

because they give away food, booze, drugs, hookers at the conventions, and then all is forgiven
Ever notice that pretty much everything added to the Constitution after the original was a mistake.

yes and we all have a good 10k just sitting around to do this with. I have bills to pay and dont have 10k sitting around to start my own handful of paysites. If it were super fucking cheap to start paysites, do you think sponsors would even be that big an issue? I think not.

Oh and also, If 99% of affiliate software out there has shave built in - you can bet your ass there is INDEED quite a demand for it and that it is DEFINATELY getting used. Not by a handful of sponsors, but by dozens. Think of how many new sponsors have popped up in the last 6 months alone and you think that they will do the right thing? or do you think they'll line their pockets since its hard as hell to get solid proof. My vote goes for the latter.

              I agree...
The whole point to my post. If ya notice, I've been quiet during this whole thing, I've taken in some good info though. I had to put in my 2 cents, as I'm sure when them options pop-up on the screen, the mouths start watering. It would take a strong trustworthy person to overcome this level of greed. Frankly, I don't think the human race is capable of it, and my own experiences with the sponsors have me pointing in that direction.

It's like any job... Bow down to the ones that sign the checks.

I make a lot more money pushing my site at $19.95 than I ever did pushing a sponsor that paid $35 on a free trial or whatever. TONS more.

Why does a webmaster have to shave paying $35 per sale anymore?

They have 2 pre-checked boxes that they get paid $40-50 for. So actually they make a profit $5 plus they get your exit traffic and some of the members might make them money on the inside of the site via upsells/crossells there.

Hell even Ibill now has the checkboxes on the join form.

For anyone who does not think a program can pay out what they are (I am talking legit programs here, ARS, Top bucks, Max Cash, Plat Bucks) pay me $50k, fly to dallas, and I will show you a spreadsheet. It is a matter of volume.

As I posted in another thread:
Anyone who thinks a large program shave, say 10% and survive long term does not understand running an affiliate model. It is hard enough to convert traffic, with no shave and keep affiliates and their traffic. Shaving and scrubbing are two terms that people throw around that they have no clue about.
