it bounces in most cases because the account number was entered wrong because they figured out that they can make that part up

I removed the check option months ago and happy I did

Who are you going to collect from? You assuming they put the correct contact info?

You have to stress up front that their information will be entered into the national online check fraud database and if their check bounces it will prevent them from making future purchases online and in retail stores.

Yes, I disabled online checks and now if a client wants to pay me with a check they must physicaly mail them in, wait for it to clear, then I send them a username and password.
It may be a hassle for the user, but so far only 1 has bounced.

Are these checks returned for NSF or are they non exisitng accounts?
If the have no account it's a crime, have them arrested.

Hmmmmm.... I used to accept Western Union and stuff as well in a similar fashion, but all became too hard, but also you mightn't realize, as an Australian webmaster, try 6-8 weeks for their checks to clear... won't work for us.

Maybe this is a busines crying out for someone to fill it !!!

Seriously, who would use a check/chargeback collection agency if there was one around?

And can I get a percentage?

THAT is exactly what I am seeking - an agency to chase the fuck out of them, force them to pay or face the consequences - legal, criminal, civil - whatever.
