What FTP Client do you use that allows you to see a .htaccess file?

I am using FTP Voyager 8 and I cannot see the .htaccess files on my sites. What do some of you use that allows you to see that file?

    Thanks,
    Bill

I believe it is in the server configuration, not the FTP program

any will, its a setting in your server's ftp config as far as i know... that allows 'hidden' files to show up
        the revolution is coming.

It can be set via most, if not all, FTP clients. Check to see if you client allows Filtering and more specifically, if it allows server side filtering. If it does simply have the following as a filter:

              -a

This allows you to see hidden file (hidden files have a '.' as the first character in the filename) along with non-hidden files.

              Hope that helps.

All that did was make my html pages all disapear from the server view.

You can usually show hidden files on your server by changing the LIST command parameters. Parameters can be added to the LIST command in the "Advanced | Connection" settings for your Site Profile:
                    Open FTP Voyager.
Select the site you're configuring in the Site Profile Manager.
                    Select the "Advanced" button.
Select the "Connection" option in the left hand tree.
On the right enter "-al" (without the quotes) into the "Extra LIST Parameters". This tells UNIX that you want to see all files in the "long" listing format.
From this point forward FTP Voyager will send "-al" to the server for each directory listing. FTP Voyager will give you the results.

Must be a voyager specific thing. Normally just -a works but if that fails -al should do the trick.

In windows goto run and type CMD

                                  FTP sitename.com
                                  U:
                                  P:

ls will list all the files and directories in the folder.

Hope that helps a little bit... CuteFTP is a lot more wizzy wig.
