This is what I don't understand.. why people assume that all of Canada is always cold. You folks DO realize that parts of Canada border on the US, and the weather doesn't automatically become an icebox as soon as you cross the border. Some parts of Canada like Vancouver are very mild and like NEVER get snow (maybe once every 5 years). Sure the north is cold, but the same could be said about Alaska, too. It was mandatory for us to take French in school when I was growing up but unless you're in Quebec, there's no need to learn French at all. I would've preferred learning Spanish. I spend more time in Mexico than Quebec.
And yes, I hate the cold. I actually drove my dogs to the park today so I could sit in the car while they ran around. lol

in my neighborhood in vancouver i was the only native english speaker around, and even i spoke with a foreign accent.
punjab, vietnamese, and whatever pakistanis speak were the most common languages.
supposedly english is now the 3rd language in vancouver behind chinese and indian languages.Comment
