    NOO! My precious A70!!

I just got home about 5 minutes ago and as I was getting out of the car i had a bunch of stuff to carry inside so anyway im holding my A70 (which i just bought about 2weeks ago) by the little wrist strap .

As i start getting more stuff out of the car i think to myself "oh shit this is probly not the best way to be holding my camera ..." so i decide to get one more thing out of the car before i stick the camera in my pocket .

sure enough as im standing up i drop my camera on to the pavement...

    FUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i guess whats important is it seems to work ok still

    :-\

it has a little chip dent thing on the front right corner and a little scruff on the top right corner

not too worried about that but it seems to be a little bit seperated where the seam is on the front part of the camera

how tuff are these little guys??

I've got a little Canon Elph S200 that I dropped from 9ft while holding it up in a club....then I kicked it across the dance floor.

It has a nice little ding in one corner.....and it's scratched up...but it works like a champ.

            these things are tough....

I ordered mine a month ago from staples. com

It was the 3rd place I tried ordering from due to backorders.

I had an extra battery fall out of my case into the intercoastal when I was at a friends house earlier in the year. Those little fuckers for the Nikon's are around $30 bucks.

The a70 doesnt like water much though

I found out the hard way after I was in a boat that tipped and sank while overseas.

Even though it still worked after getting wet and then drying out, They dont have a sealed lens assy. like the IXUS model apparently does, so if water gets in there its fucked for taking any reasonable quality pics.

Luckily insurance got me a new one, but I'm cautious near liquids now.
