The Colony on Longboat Key is nice, waterfront is tough. The restaurant at the Ritz Carlton is nice, the Chart House, the Columbia, Cafe L'Europe......not all on the water but as close as I can think of. The Summerhouse on Siesta Key is very nice, Michaels On East is the trendy place.
