My parents know nothing of what I do or make in this biz. I have kept it pretty lite.

Mom - Two rare Hosta plants from England and a comprehensive book on their care. Plus a $500 shopping spree at Burlington Coat Factory.

Dad - a DVD player (they still watch VHS) and several Penn and Teller Vids

Sis - antique white ironstone items off of ebay

My dad is a doctor - acupunture, holistic medicine, etc. Plus a magician since the age of nine.

Mom is a commerical artist and created the Shell gas station sign and the Bonnie Doon logos. She also is hard to beat at Scrabble or anything other games that take skill.

They are fun to be around.

Not sure about mom yet, but I'm probably getting my dad a DVD player and the first two Lord of the Rings movies. He has always LOVED Tolkein (even since he was young) and when I spoke to him via e-mail recently he told me he STILL hasn't seen the movies because they don't have a DVD player or VCR!

We'll probably get something for my husband's dad, but his mom can rot in hell. She's kind of like Joan Crawford from what I hear. (You know, Mommie Dearest.) *shudder* I hope I never have to meet her.

Nothing really special in terms of money. Flowers for my mom and some stupid golf related gift for my dad. They have everything they want. For the last couple of years, I been taking an old black and white neg of our family and selectively colorizing it and make prints for them. They seem to enjoy it.

This year I am making a cd of my nephew?s wedding shot by my five year old nephew using my camera. The pics are hilarious and I am the editor!
