$100 Logo Contest ::::::

Hey Graphic Gods.....

I want to get some new business cards done and need a logo designed. Looking for something cool & professional with a corporate feel. The logo should incorporate my name... Dean Capture. No more than 3 colors including the background.

I'll need 300 dpi files (photoshop and tiff) so keep that in mind when designing. I'm NOT looking for cheesy stuff like anything with a camera or a naked girl incorporated into the logo.

Post your stuff here and I'll check in frequently and see how it's going. I'll throw in extra $$$ for those who come up with a logo "and" a business card design.

nothing graphical to suggest you are a glamour photographer Dean? No camera parts, film etc?

that's nice MetaMan - did you use Photoshop or a 3D program?

I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

Hey Mutt.....
I don't mind something within the logo that would "suggest" that I'm a photographer. I just think that cameras and nakid girls would be a bit cheesy. As long as it looks professional and has a corporate feel to it - I'd be game for it!

after a long time, here i am surfing the GFY board again... this project sounded interesting, as dean said he doesn't want cheesy stuff... and i hate it. that's why i decided to contribute a bit with this:

and this is the biz card concept. front and rear side (of course, rear is not required ):

This is a much smaller version of the original (tif 300dpi 85mm x 55mm), and hence the quality sucks. The original looks real nice.

Note that the D and C combine to make a camera (far more clear in the original) and then the two lines coming out symbolise the 'capture' zone of the shot from the camera.

I have put the contact info in this way as for me, when i pull out a business card I always tend to hold it vertical in my thumb, therefore whilst pointing at what contact info is available to the person I am handing it to.
