IS MGM GRAND in Las Vegas any good?

What do you mean by "any good"? I've never stayed at the MGM Grand but it's a sweet place inside and out. Any expensive room on the strip will be "good" and even the cheap ones are clean and comfortable with good service.

Well I mean by any good, if the rooms are nice, and the beds are comfy, and if the employees are friendly...

I liked harrah's, but I also had to saty one night at Bally's, and they sucked big time. More expensive then harrah's, but the rooms, jeez, even the interior of my grandma is newer...

Also no luxury at all...In other words they sucked big time

if its your first time in vegas than any room will do because you won't spend any time in there

either way, almost everything is within walking distance, and if n ot theres always taxis

But that's the one back in November of 1980 where a fire broke out at 7 in the morning and 87 people got toasted.

The MGM Grand was amazing. Largest hotel in the world. I stayed in the Celebrity Spa Suite for a week. Spa + Champagne = good time...

MGM is nice, but too big! It takes forever to get around in there and it's wayyyy too far from the Venetian.

Treasure Island is across the street and less expensive than Mirage.

Bally's has been remodelled in the last year or two so the rooms are nicer now.

Bush can no more fire Rove than Charlie McCarthy could fire Edgar Bergen.

Anyone stayed at the Aladdin? That is where we are staying. We were told to check it out partially because the elevators are close to the rooms distance to the elevators matters to me as I am pushing my husband in his wheelchair.

Really though we made the choice because of the in room computers and high speed internet. Anyone know from personal experience if that is any good?

Treasure Island is now the TI... Pirates are gone... and now they have Sirens... all new outdoor show. TI is more convenient than Mirage. IF Venetian is booked TI would be a good bet.

Aladdin is a mile or so south of the Venetian. DO NOT leave valuables in the room.

Nelly and Michelle Branch had a bunch of shit stolen last week (two different incidents)

I'd take the MGM over the Mirage any day. The Mirage is old and their rooms are small as shit. Let alone, nothing seems to be going on in the casino anymore. Check out Cesears, it's my fav.

Note: MGM gives away free cigs if you play at the tables. Rare even for Vegas.

You'll like it. You can upgrade from the Emerald Tower to a spa suite if you act nice and put a 20 under your drivers license.

Works like a charm.

The Grand is Great the for the $. TI is the cheap and close. But you will be if you party right with the exception of hooking up; you should see the inside of your hotel room for approximately 3 hours the whole trip!

I do not know what it is, but the Grand casinos always seem to be top-notch. They have good buffets and the rooms are nice.

On the other hand, Bally's is always low-class by comparison.

They probably make all their money by selling slot machines.

I think that MGM is old and outdated.....Mandalay Bay is a great hotel with awesome service. If you are looking to go inexpensive but have a good location, then look into the Barbary Coast. I have never staid there, however, I hear that their rooms are surprisingly nice.

Cheap, cheap, would be circus Circus.....

We are staying in Treasure Island from December 29th - till about the 2nd of January. Then we move across the the Venetian till the 9th..

Venetian was really good last time. Would have liked to have tried out Ceaser's Palace, maybe next time...
