Ok, I got a parking ticket for like $50 in NYC, but I live in Massachusetts. The question is, do I still need to pay for the damn ticket? My guess is that it's not a speeding ticket or moving violation so living in a different state I don't have to pay it, but I could be wrong. Anyone know anything about this?

Technically you are ok in your own state but if you come back to NY and its unpaid and you get another ticket you will have problems. So as long as you are never in NY again and you dont pay you are fine.
But dont take my word 100% for this Im no lawyer.

is the $50 worht being pulled over and arrested for the next time you are in New York State, not paying it will get a warrant out for your arrest for only $50 but is it really worth the hassle of saving the $50.
I would just pay the thing and not park illegally next time.
