    1 Acacia question

I been reading if we are a free site without audio/video content but that links to a sponsor with audio/video content then we only pay based on if the sponsor does not have a acacia license.

My question is how are affiliates suppose to know if the sponsor has a license? You try to ask them and they seem tight-lipped about answering.........

Great question....sponsors could take the flak, but also the spin that if affiliates knew that a sponsor had settled, that they could end up signing with them to protect themselves.

Yes, this does play into acacia's plan to coerce the non-signing sponsors to settle, but at the same time, there are a magnitude of more affiliates, that so many just don't have the pocket change to handle the minimum of $1,500/year.

I talked to a webmaster this morning that is looking to start a website that will start to list those sponsors that settle....whether you choose to boycott or sign with them is your choice.

I am not part of the site....

In the meantime, check out the thread i started at:

That shows the status of acacia's legal efforts with companies.

For more info about acacia, i added an Acacia FAQ at http://www.FightThePatent.com/go
