    simple .htpasswd question

    What would cause a login box to appear twice for a directory that i have protected by .htpasswd/.htaccess?

    After the first time I attempt to login a second login box appears... then I can successfully login

      The time on cookie expiry if you have that set perhaps?

          nope... no cookies being used... the second login box is appearing immediately after the first

              it could be your server setup, i know the ones I work with if you don't put a file name after, like index.php it will forward you from www.domain.com/members to domain.com/members
