What (if anything) will you regret for the rest of your life?

serious question.

For me, i regret not joining the Marines when i was young and hungry.

My grandfather and his 5 brothers were all Marines, Father was in Army, mother was in Air Force, and on and on.

I was raised with the intention of becoming a Marine and then i met my GF. Just didnt seam appropriate to run off for a few years.

Im still not too old to join, but now i am much more lazy, and dont have the drive that i used to have.

This is something that lurks in the back of my mind daily, and i cant imagine it going away.

I regret nothing. There are things i have done in the past, or hadn't done, that i can look back at and say.. wow.. i fucked that up. But i'm happy with where i am at this point in my life. To regret is to be unsatisfied with what you've got, or the direction your life his heading in.

Lack of a social life. Since 15, I've run businesses and because of it my social life has been nearly non-existant. I don't see this changing any time soon either sad to say, but I would like to attain a more sociable lifestyle.

In a philosophical way, I think there is nothing to regret in our lifetime.there mustn't be! we think we regret and things are changing as 'if i'd do this this would happen, or iwould become this and that blah blah' in my philosophy there is nothing we can change radically. we are just choosing the paths we take to reach to the same end in a so-called-different-way but in the end negatives and positives are all the same shape and color. how would we know if we'd chosen the other way we regret, things might be different or not!!! we just don't have a chance. this is not melancholy i think. i just go with the flow and never become sad about my decisions. there is nothing to be sad about. just being 'enough' for that situation or career in life or not! if you earn what you deserve nothing in this world can make you unhappy.

i think i'm pulling myself out of the subject so i stop here saying i never regret anything i didn't do or couldn't be in my life. I love myself and happy with what i am and that way 'the light' can be seen when the time will come.

my neighbors child drowned at age 2 or 3.

they donated the organs and was later informed that the childs organs saved 2 lives, and helped another 4.

this was another case of "everything happens for a reason" in my opinion.

it isnt always a GOOD reason, but its still a reason :/
