George Bush keeps using the line "No one can deny that the people of Iraq are better off now that Saddam is gone."
But is anyone asking the question: "Is the United States better off now than it was 6 months ago?"
No WMDs found.
No link to Al-Qaeda
No chemical or biological weapons found.
Increasing Iraqi hostility towards the U.S. occupation.
BILLIONS of American taxpayer money being poured into Iraq and no specific date for when the U.S. will get out of the country.
Iraq has become the #1 recruiting tool for Muslim terrorists around the world. This includes the increase of terrorism in Iraq itself.
Increasing length of tour of duty in Iraq combined with more and more reservists called up for action.
No comprehensive plan for what the U.S. would do once the war was "won".
And this not so insignificant item..more and more American GIs being killed every day. On Sunday, 17 gi's killed..most soliders killed since the first week of the war.
More Americans killed since 5/1/03 when Bush proclaimed major action has ended than before that date.
How many Americans must die before we say: "ENOUGH!"?
Our leader makes these statements about the war:
"Bring 'em on!"
"These increased terrorist attacks show how successful we have been and how desperate these terrorists have become."
"Mission Accomplished!" 5/1/03
So..is our country that much better off now than it was just 6 months ago?
