    BBC sex empires program

    anyone else in the UK see it tonight? It was focused on the internet this week and I have to say I thought it was one of the better programs on internet porn I have seen on UK tv. Also, they were Internext and I saw some board folks on there

          I only saw part of it (half an hour, I think - I don't know how long the entire program was?).
          The part I saw seemed pretty well done, although I just KNEW they would have Danni Ashe pop up ;-)

              lol, yeah she pretty much had to but she was more or less the only non-brit that was a major feature in the show which made a difference. I liked that they gave us credit for trying to police child porn, etc.

                      Homegrowncash and ASACP at Internext got a brief feature.

                      Mainly focused around Janeysweb which is probably seeing a spike in traffic and sales right now

                          Was a great program, although I have issues with Craig at Janeyweb. On the whole a nice look at the industry 'well done the beeb'
                          SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

                              yes I saw it and thought it was OK. Janeyweb certainly got a big plug as did Danni and Falconfoto.

                              I remember the BBC asking for UK adult websites to take part n this show last year but for some reason I decided not to bother to get in contact. Might have made an error in judgement there, as by now I would be sitting on a ton of signups instead of Fat Fran!

                                          socalcash got some good screen time as far as their logo goes (not an interview) and ynot was rather clear too a couple times. I think my husband got tired of the 'hey I know her' remarks from me.

                                              I met the researcher a while back but was deliberately vague as to not get used - you never know quite how these shows will be presented.

                                              I'm pissed now though for not taking the chance for some good free advertising and for missing the show tonight. I wonder if they'll repeat? Failing that anyone taped it?

                                                                  As I'd been filmed before for Ch5's Sex and Shopping I was wary of the Beeb making a pro adult biz documentary after the Jim/Violet Storm programme.

                                                                  There was only Janey and a BBW who was letting her site run through their TAC set up. Everyone else was from the States, so you didn't miss much.

                                                                                  It was pretty informative, however it did tend to focus on the oldschool, the late 90's sites regarding the states, and a few amateur sites in the UK, the adult coalition I believe they were called.

                                                                                  Fred Lane from Sexbizlaw.com had a large part of the show. He was explaining the situation with Seth Warshavsky and the clublove saga in the late 90's. Basically ripping off surfers with pre recorded live feeds. Mentionned he was now living in Thailand !! Danni's Hard Drive got a mention as well.

                                                                                  Colin Rowntree and Angie from Wasteland also had a pretty big slot. Saying how 40% of their members were women, or couples, and that there were more British members than anywhere else. I am pretty sure that's what he said anyway.

                                                                                  Loco12 has also mentionned others that were involved. The gorgeous MommaFran obviously got you excited They mentionned something about Falcon Foto bringing out some new interactive service as well. Cant seem to find any info on it though.

                                                                                  Suicidegirls.com also performed. These are a group of girls that are pierced or tatooed and have quite a nice site.

                                                                                                                              I think Globalcharge run by Coulomb take debit cards - as well as CC and dialler, SMS, LAN/DSL options, but as they are UK based they charge VAT to EU customers.
