Not really... there's other ways to target specific groups of surfers or direct specific traffic to certain things. I would advertise to one audience more, if I knew they were more likely to join.

Say a page gets 100 hits, 50 hits are from guys in their 20s, 25 hits from 30s and 25 hits from 40s+ but the majority of your sales are from the 40s group, I wouldn't even go after the 20s age group when advertising, I'd try to send that group somewhere else. Like to dialer hell

Maybe it's just be but it seems like a statistic that wouldn't provide you much worthy info unless you knew 100 other variables. I mean do you feel like you possibly know what one group of guys like more than another specifically based on their age? No I don't think you do or could know that. Maybe the 20 year old guys are smarter and more internet savy and can find the porn for free and the 40 year old guy doesn't have 4 hours to search for it and he's got the money so he pays. So maybe I've missed it but I don't see how it's possible to have this age statistic and have it make you more money unless you have 100 other variable stats to go with it.

Don't be so quick to forget that typically 1/3 of the porn viewers are now women.

I don't care about women viewers or any of the 100 other variables. All I want to know is which age group signs up the most. I'm not talking on a day to day basis, I mean over the past 5 years or whatever, what age group has signed up the most. It's not as technical as it seems lol

I think it is more technical than it seems. Every statistic is going to have variables, what content, what price did they pay, and so on. I don't know where you would just flat out find something that says 40 years olds signup for more porn than anyone else and if you did how would you know what they signed up for and what to target them with? The best you'll probably find is that younger people go for trials and older people go for full price.

God you over-analyze the fuck outta things

To be more specific, I want to know what age group signs up the most for mainstream type of sites. A trial or full membership doesn't matter. A credit card transaction is a credit card transaction is a credit card transaction, in the end. I would be really surprised if it was an even percentage across the board, I am sure one age group joins more than another.
