I see your point, My Dad was a teen in the 50's and he said that only a very few carried guns, not like people do today. Back then just pulling a knife on someone one was a serious issue, And if you had beef with someone and a fight started you just beat the hell outta them/you got beat/ or beat the hell outta each other. In most cases that was the end of it. Now some you get in fights you might get a gun in the face. SO yeah if the mind set was the same from 50 years ago I think we would be in better shape
