I agree with some points here, but i also find it extremely stupid to make "hi, i am new here" posts.
Probably about 20 new people jon GFY every day and imagine how would it look like if everyone started a "hi, i am new here" thread that would get 30 replies.
Noone even remembers such threads and the nicks behind them after 3 days.
