Any guy can look at the take-out delivery boy and think they can kick his ass. A lot of Chinese are encouraged to kind of "keep their heads down"- some do some don't but the same does not go for other Asian cultures. Vietnamese do not believe in that one-on-one shit and ten 5'4" Vietnamese thugs with their ghetto girlfriends goading them on will beat your ass quite nicely. Even one on one I had buddies who bounced at Korean KTV's out in Flushing and there are some big ass Koreans out there and with a little soju in them they are more than happy to see how much furniture they can break over your head. You spend any amount of time dealing with the fringe Asian community- particularly the adult end of it, you learn to ditch the "I'm a big badass white dude" routine pretty damn skippy.
