my load is 12% and there is 195MB free out of 512RAM i have,

p4 1.8 512 RAM

as far as i understand printing process could be set as low priority, probably yours is set high.

work provided 1/2 gig ram, dual intel xeon 2Ghz, stealidy runs at 55% with a reboot every night because it's NT.
