Which connection speed would you prefer?

I'm switching from the cable the vdsl. I am giving up from my download speed to get more upload. What would you have chosen?

I prefer Cable as it doen't lose a connection as often as DSL and I don't really need a faster upload

I have 768 up and down and I think it works out better. When I am uploading I want it to be done with asap.

VDSL. cable slows down the more people get on and I have heard of virus problems are more common

That is the theory. I am talking about problems at the ISP end that temporarily disconnect you from the Net.

I have had cable for several years and initially they would be down every other day while "adding new nodes" or some shit.
Nowdays they go down about once every two weeks or less.

DSL on the other hand I have had for only about two years and it still goes down almost daily, albeit briefly.

It all depends on the bandwidth limits each ISP has.. at least to me. I like my current ISP..

I can upload at 55 kilobytes a sec, and download at over 500 kilobytes a sec. Which is also good since I can use 75 GB of bandwidth total a month without them bitching.
