Your body uses as much as you need. It also depends on what kind of protien you are consuming. Long strains, med, or short. What you are eating at the time you are consuming the protien.

I know from experience (and I am assuming you are weight lifting) that massive amounts of protien mixed with a good diet and losts of water do work.
