I think it is still legal to write just about anything you want, and I mean anything. Writing about family stuff and kiddie stuff is entirely different than taking pictures and movies and trying to lure others into it over state lines, etc.
I think its even legal to write detailed instructions about how to make bombs and so on.

Yes, it's legal to write about just about anything you want, but there are limits. For example, you cannot write about the rape or murder of a real human being. I believe people have been arrested for writing fantasy stories about harming people they know if I remember correctly.

Mind you, I do tend to believe that people who write stories about things like sex with minors (especially forced or violent) have some problems but as long as it stays on paper, I don't see how it would be right to mete out punishment.
Edit: I should clarify something about the above statement. When I say "minors" I am talking specifically about early teens on down. I just can't get too upset about a story featuring a seventeen-year-old getting fucked.

I have been working with stories for the last six years and personally I may use incest stories on a site if all people involved are over 18.
What I will not use are any stories about minors, animal sex, rape, etc. I will not use them because I know for a fact that here in Canada stories about these things are illegal and I don't exactly want to go to jail. Plus using these types of stories creates a lot of hastle with other things. I see that you are in Canada too so I strongly suggest that you do not use stories like the ones I named, but it doesn't look like you were planning to.
I have unintentionally purchased story sets with content I don't like but have either not used these stories or have changed them if this is ok with the licence agreement.
