So I saw some highschool girls today...

I go to the mall and I see 15, 16 and 17 yr olds walking around in the tightest clothes I've ever seen. (yes I looked - sue me)

I'm not exactly trying to be a prude - but if I had a daughter she would not make it out of the house in some of the stuff I see these girls in sometimes.

They sure look a lot different than when I was in school (I'm 31)

I mean I understand the little cut off shirts showing their belly and some of the outfits, but dressed like shes selling $20 lap dances, I don't think so.

It's now wonder you see tons of girls like this. For one thing, most of the younger parents seem to feel that it's best to let the television and/or video game consoles 'babysit' their kids these days...instead of taking an interest in their childs development. Hours and hours sitting in front of that shit.

Parenting isn't what it was like years ago. My parents refused to let us have a video game system in the house which drove myself and my brother up the fucking wall. They barely even let us watch TV. We only got to watch TV as a reward for doing a chore, getting good grades, etc. Otherwise, we had to read since there was no other source of entertainment.

These days, I go to lunch and see some of these 12-17 year old girls looking like they just stepped out of MTV.

I'm all for people young and old expressing themselves, but hell...where's the parents in all this? It's truly sad. How any father can let his little girl walk out of house with some of this ultra skimpy clothes on, is beyond me.

And parents are so busy working or getting divorced, they don't give kids the attention they need or they have become so liberal, they think its ok. we didn't do it for sexual attention - most of us back then would have been scared and offended. just like now, we did it because it was extremely fashionable which made us feel more grown up, and that's important to you when you want to feel you're an emerging adult at 13 -18.

These chemicals they put in the products may also link to cancer and such.

As for the topic at hand. There is a big difference between dressing like a slut and being one. I wouldnt even call it dressing like a slut it is more less just a style for them.
