Anyone marketing porn to cell phone users?

Its apparently bigger in Europe than in the US. In EU countries an estimated 5% of all cell phone subscribers have bought porn using their cell, including images, text messages, and adult chat.

One research company, Visiongain, is estimating that by 2006 porn content distribution to cell phones will be a multi-billion dollar sector of the porn industry.

Sprint is saying next year users will be able to see streamed movies over their network.

The first European phone carrier to invest heavily in video technology is Three, which is 65 percent owned by Hutchison Whampoa of Hong Kong. Three is also the first carrier to provide adult content to customers. As a safeguard, customers must be 18 to buy a phone, must register to view pornography and must use a personal identification number each time they log on. A woman's pink lips and a video camera form the icon for "Top Shelf," the adult content site. Some phones come equipped with a tiny camera to make and receive homemade videos.

Virgin mobile phone service is in talks with Playboy right now for cell phone content distribution.

Looks like lots of new mobile porn opportunities for us all coming soon.

doesn't make much sense to me yet.. but I guess ifyou are really hard up.. a 2x2 inch picture may be enough??? I just don't see the logic.. kinda like a blonde joke in a way...

It has some bugs we need to work on this week but in Beta testing it's simply in a word AMAZING

Video Secrets is our back end provider- and we are on point to do some amazing business in the states as well as abroad

The stream will work on the Sprint PCS network and with a Java App phone- sign up and see for yourself how amazing the quality is- although we may be working on servers today.

Exactly, keywords feasible and profitable. The technology isn't that great right now to try and make enough money as it will cost you! Atleast in the states it's not that great!

I have been brining adult content to the PDA (Pocket PC and Palm Pilot) for over 3 years. Granted the tech back then wasnt that great but stuff now rocks and anyone who has ever seen my demo of stuff goes holy fucking shit thats awesome.

We have been running http://www.pocket-xxx.com for some time. We have both a wireless version and a sync-n-go type of system for users who dont have a wireless network card or service.

as for video we can pull of 30fps high quality at 320x240 which is about what most videos on the net are. Alot of biz guys are using our service i guess its nice to have some porn to wack off during a break or lunch if the need it or when they are on a trip and dont want to order some fucking movie on the companies dime.

3g isnt anything, it was alot of hype, its coverage sucks, costs alot and not very many people use it. Granted It looks cool on paper and on test web sites but when you actually get down to it its not that great and has been deemed a failure in the cel industry.

not its not to say i dont want new tech like this to succeed i have been a moible porn developer for some time and love to see new techs take off but well the majority of people dont use it and mainly for europe stick to small sms and sending photos via their phones. And think about the US we are soo fucking slow to adapt and who knows if middle america will ever get a cool phone thats cable of this.

We have found that mostly biz guys and early tech geeks pick up this tech but as far as a mass community in my personal opinion its not there.

Your right, I know nothing. I developed WAP applications for a couple of large finanical companies. They spent a lot of money on them and guess what the return and interest was...NOTHING, NOTHING at all.

I have to agree with Nobull, There are a few of us who have followed this industry for several years. Some people get way to caught up in what analyst have to say, and if you do a search the past 2-3 yeas of articles for 3g and stuff u will find some interesting things from wow this is really cool to wow this really failed.

BELIEVE me i have went though the struggle with PDA's.

We have branched out more into adult pda games and video stuff which is doing well and we get alot of people to sign up for our pda only version of Pocket-XXX

We also have some new tech coming along that will make it easier for users to sync web content to their PDA devices.. if you want to know more hit me up

Cool. I can see loads of potential for amateur content via cell phones.

I think a lot of guys traveling will be buyers for this when they hit their hotel rooms at night and get horny.

showing porn to friends is a novel idea but how does that make a sponsor money in the long haul.. retention is always key...

I would honestly put my money on mass wifi... where your laptop uses cell towers to access the internet...

same point who wants to try to rub one out to a tiny screen.. if thats the case why is broadband full screen video at high fps etc... such a rage?

I think you are going to see phones, more like PDA's with bigger screens. Thin, but larger where you can surf the net, etc. Too bad the US is WAY behind when it comes to phones.
