Good question:

First everyone used schoolporn, hot young girls etc. Everyone knew it was about 18 year old girls. Some people abused it. Nowadays those words are a no non since so many ppl abused it. Personally I think teen will remain. And for me it's still a yes word. Unless abused with some words BEFORE of AFTER the word TEEN. You can fugure out which words I mean.

I can not tell you what is average, since we only know the actual numbers at our sites. But I would say it's a number you should at least aim for. So many paysites out there with shitty content. When you talk to the owners, they tell,well I only have 200 members etc. When you have affiliates to pay it's simply not enough to buy good content and make good recurring money.

Because a good paysite contains at least 20K in content to start with IMO. And every day this increase...Well yu can figure out yourself with 200 members it takes a long time to get the 20K back

Again, some paysites are really nice, and they don't invest 20K. But I'm talking about the average here

Of course you can do well with AVS sites. And it also depends on what your goal/target is. You want a AVS site, and get recurring members, or do you aim on upsells to paysites...I would suggest everyone who want to start a paysite, to start a nice AVS site first. When you know how to kee the retention high there, you are ready for the next step.(of you can stay at in the AVS biz)

I don't know why AVS became less popular actually. Of course some closed due the visa regulations, but a reason good be, that also paysites giving tons of content away nowadays for webmaster use. When I started they didn't, and some AVS sites did.

Not really answered your question regarding how much members a good AVS site should require. But I would say, enough to keep it updated, upgrade it, and make you a nice living.
