Dumb criminal that get too greedy

One of my close friends was go over his books and his bookkeeper was writing company checks out to herself over a period of 4 weeks totalling 58,000. She started with small check sthen got greedy and wrote bigger ones. He canned her went to police and bank investigator. She said she was gonna pay him back if he wouldnt press charges, she pcked up and left NY.

Lucky for my friend the bank reimbursed him cause of insurance the bank carries. They got warrants for her arrest and caught her in NJ. Now she is looking at long time in jail.

    Moral of the story?

Watch your books better, dont trust anyone whom does your books

You think thats bad, I know somebody who trusted their books to somebody and just lost 250k +

Can the guy who jacked the money get nailed? Nope. His name was on the fucking checking account.

Yea, it may sound like a stupid move to do and all, but I guess people learn to trust people too much.. Once your fucked, your fucked.

Business grosses 2 million per onth . Checks were cut in small amounts of 2k 3k and so on so it was hard to detect. Also in the logs she put legit people that were paid but the check was made to her.
