ALERT! Webmaster email campaign to sponsors & billing companies for answers?..

Copy the email below and send it to all of your sponsors and billing companies. Those who do good business will answer your email. Those that don?t might have something to hide.
Our sponsors and billing companies are our friends and business partners? this email is not adversarial.. it?s an open communication so you know the parameters that the companies you do business work within.

    Copy below---------------------------------

    Dear (fill in the blank)

Due to recent concerns regarding Acacia and the leaking of private information I need answers to each of the following questions as soon as possible:

    1) In the terms of our contract are you allowed to give my personal information to a third party?

    2) Have you given my personal information to a third party in any way, ever? If so, when?

    3) If you have given my personal information to a third party why? Who did you give it to?

    4) If you have given my personal information to a third party I request contact information for the third party.

    5) Have you asked Acacia if they are using your customer list?

I value your business and enjoy working with you. Thank you for your help.

    Best Regards ~

    (fill in the blank)

    End copy -----------------------------------------------------

I think it?s important for each of you to have official answers from each of your sponsors and billing companies on what is happening with your private information. If you ever do go to court, you can use the responses from these entities in the discovery process.

I would suggest not doing business with companies that do not respond to this email. Their silence on GFY and other boards has been deafening. This email should help peg those still hiding under a rock. Good luck and post your responses in this thread so we all know who is sending responses and who is remaining silent.

Just cause someone fucks you over doesn't mean you have to stop doing business with them.

Money is money. I do business with lots of people that I'd rather not, but their shit sells and at the end of the day, whether I like you or not, trust you or not, if you fill my cash register, we might not like each other, but if we can make money together, fuck it let's do it.

I guess we see things differently.

If someone gave my personal information to Acacia and made me susceptible to a lawsuit, they are costing me more money then necessary. If they can sell me out this way, then they most likely are shaving my sales and taking even MORE money from me.

Integrity is important in any business. If someone is going to sell you out to Acacia.. they've probably already been taking advantage of you without your knowledge, and will continue to screw you.

In the long run, you are losing more then you are making and it's not cost effective to maintain the business relationship.

If webmasters in this industry ever got a full accounting of how much money they've been cheated out of, no one would do business with anyone then.

Believe it or not there are people in this industry that have built a reputation based on honesty and integrity. Not everyone rips everyone else off.

Do you have sponsors or a billing company? Have you sent the above email to them for answers? Have they responded?

It's important for us to weed out the slime that have been hinding under a rock all this time so we have a better idea of who the bad guy really is.

I don't agree with KRL - Unfortunately he is probably right and most webmasters will take that view.

I certainly would not consider doing business with the likes of Matrix again, or any other company (including sponsors) that abused my personal details.

Any company that gave out your details should at least admit to it. Have you sent out the email above to get answers? You will not get answers speculating.

                Take action.

62 reads and not one reply saying they've sent the letter.
