                              Actually, forest fires are a natural renewal process... the old pines (and other trees) release their seeds when burned and the new growth (in a few years) have a rich fertile ash-laden soil to grow upon. Fires have razed and fertalized forests for millions of years, and will continue to do so for millions of years in the future.

                              Having said that, it SUCKS that so many homes have been burned, and over a dozen lives lost. And to the fucks who started most of these fires...
