Apple G5 - Dual 2Ghz w/ Panther

Holy fuckin shit.

Got my dual 2 g5 last week.. it's fast as hell.

Now i just upgraded to panther and WOW!

This apple is much faster than ANY pc i have ever used in my life.

Anybody else got their g5's yet?

my dual 1 gig G4 went from a 120 score to a 134 when upgrading from 10.2.8 to Panther.

it's all about f-9.

i have f-9 bound to the 3rd mouse button. i've never had a more useful utility in my life.

i'm gonna check out that benchmarker. looks cool.

one thing i've heard though. is that upgrading to panther is not nearly as good as a fresh install because there are some bugs in the upgrade. my laptop got fucked during the upgrade somehow. but after a fresh install. it's amazing.

I just got the exact same computer as you bro, G5 with the dual 2.0 proccessors, plus I upgraded to 2.5 GB of ram. I haven't upgraded to Panther yet, but I'm going to this week. This thing kicks ass already, I can't see how it will get any better though.

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

advice though, DONT UPGRADE... it is has had a lot of reported problems and it for some reason leaves your system slower than it started.

When you do the install, backup your shit and then do a clean install of panther and it'll flyyyyyyy!
