Can someone from epassporte post here?

Hello. My bank can't confirm the exact pending charge to my CC and I joined epassporte 7 days ago. I sent e-mails to kimmy@ and cs@ five days ago, but no replies yet.

Is there any other way to confirm that the credit card is mine? I don't have the statement yet because I got my CC just 8 days ago. I'm trying to sign up to the visa electron card.

    Thanks!

    Jer

The first question is why can't your bank confirm the pending charge? Are you in a foreign country and there is a conversion problem? If so, write to [email protected].

If you have a U.S. bank you need to call them again. ALL banks have the ability to disclose a pending transactions amount.

I'm from Brazil, and all my bank says is that there's a pending charge of "around $1" and that I'll have to wait to know the exact value. I tried calling them in 3 different days. Today is the last of my 7 days to confirm the exact pending charge with epassporte.

I already wrote to [email protected] 5 days ago, but I didn't get an reply.

epassporte has slow costumer service, which is bad, taking into consideration the potential they have.

Maestro from revsharehosting.com was trying to setup commercial account with them, and after 4 emails he didnt got reply and gave up. Even called them, nothing, they said for him to email again.

they definately need to hire more people in their costumer support team.

Thanks Jer. I received your email.

Of course we want everyone to have the best possible experience with ePassporte. The problem experienced by some foreign surfers trying to get an account are not surprising due to the fact that banks across the globe do things in very different ways. The issue of currency conversion sometimes complicates the eP-Verify procedure.

It is the responsibility of ePassporte to meet certain criteria, such as the "know your customer rule" and since they are offering an instantly issued account online, there are procedures such as eP-Verify in place to insure that the process is satisfying all the rules.

That being said, there are alternative verification methods such as Verified by Visa (VBV) if you are using a Visa card ?and? your bank is participating with the VBV system. If you can use VBV then the eP-Verify process is waived.

If your bank is not participating with VBV, you can contact ePassporte with your phone number and customer service will call you and conference in your bank to verify your identity to the account. With a phone call, ePassporte can achieve the same verification as eP-Verify and approve your account instantly.

Another verification process allows you to FAX documents to ePassporte which will satisfy the "know your customer" rules. ePassporte would need a government issued photo ID, a copy of the front and the back of the credit card you using to load, and a copy of your most recent bank statement from that account.

ePassporte is a excellent product which offers a lot of functionality. There are procedures in place to insure that ePassporte meets all banking rules and can protect itself from fraud. We will work personally with any account holder who needs assistance with their account.

Thank you Rand, I'll call my bank today to ask if they're using the Verified by Visa system. If not I'll fax the documents.
