For instance in getting buddy trained to recognize that spot as his when he's in my office I would ignore him when he went elsewhere and when he would go to that spot I would click and then give him a treat.
After time you start drawing the clicks out...I started with a minute..then upped it to 2 then 5 then 15 and so on so finally he gets used to just knowing that's where he's supposed to be.
Now when I bring him into the office it's the first place he heads waiting for his click and treat.

But how do you get him to stay there the whole day? Especially when he's unsupervised? Wouldn't he just get the treat and then leave?
