I think the question is, though, why wouldn't I just get stats remote instead? Why would someone choose this, over that?

Well ccbill emails it's program owners, not the affiliates...(not now at least)

Why not offer a version for the sponsors themselves?
I would love to offer my affiliates notification with each sale they make. It would keep my program fresh in their mind and be motivating.
I know that I love getting the freenetpass sales notifications

Sounds more like a feature something like StatsRemote should incorporate. And I agree it should be all processors, not just ccBill.
