I've seen them at a lot of tgps and galleries these days, they've been around for a while, most people that used them must have got a not-so happy surprise in their phone bills...
so my question is, do you advertise dialers? (don't you feel like ripping people off?)
then, is people actually stupid enough to download and run those things!?!?!?
please let me know so i avoid them or start advertising them

...some dialers do display a current per minute rate and the number of minutes already used (they show the $$$ amount which keeps growing) - those are OK IMHO.

Roberto if you feel guilty about your surfer being charged money (per minute) then maybe dialers are not for you.
But to answer your question .. Yes ppl do download dialers and webmasters can make good $$$ with them.
In the end it's your choice to try and see what works

i think i'll feel like a thief but a dialer with realtime charge stats for the user won't be that bad after all (i'm trying hard to convince myself )

I stopped promoting dialers a while back, but then I talked to the guy who runs iwantcelebs.com and he showed me the member section. He hooked me up with a dialer for the member section of that site which charged $3/min... and for 5 days of promoting it I'm very happy. And I know that $3/min is well worth it because his member section rox0rs.

I just depends on what you think is ripping the surfer off I guess.

Would you feel like a thief if you ran a Psychic hotline? How about a Phone Sex Line?

What if you were a psychiatrist...would you feel bad charging people $70-$100 per hour to sit there and listen to them talk about their problems?

Most dialers now charge $2.99 a minute, show how much it costs, and cut off after 20-30 min.

It's a nice way to generate income from a surfer who doesnt have a credit card.

all that is why most of us are in this biz,
I do agree that Dialers are charging to much
but $180 per hour is not quit true, since most ppl stay online for maybe 10 - 15 minutes paying ^$30 to get off
Not cheap i know but I have seen people spend more $ for xxx.

I am all for a little rule bending here and there but I hate seeing guys who are not very computer literate and often miss small print get taken for a ride. I am here to give satisfaction and get return business not have some guy tell his friends about his $50 jerk off scam.

I know people make good money from this but don't all con men.

I wasn't trying to have a go at you,
believe me, I would much prefer Dialers
charged alot less, but it is not up to us
to decide the charged rate.
All we have tried to do is to atleast use
a quality members area, to not upset the surfer ( untill he get's the bill )
and of course to keep them conected a little
longer.
