Wow, some guy just got a MAJOR beatdown by the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) right in front of my apartment. A bush was in the way so I couldn't see it, but I heard the whole thing (happened about 20 feet from my apartment).
I heard a loud commotion (sounded like some people arguing and then wrestling around), followed by about 10 very loud "WACK!"s. Then someone (an officer , I assume) yelling "ROLL OVER!" then 3-5 more "WACK!"s. About 5 more "Roll Over!"s (followed by 3-5 more loud "WACK!"s each) followed over the next 30 seconds (for a total of between 25 to 35 very loud hits with the nightstick). Then when a lady came out to see what was up, a cop yelled for her to get back into her apartment. No more wacking sounds were heard after the police officers saw that an audience was forming. An officer then then yelled for the suspect to give them his name, and they officer yelled "I don't want to hurt you Sean, ROLL OVER!" This was repeated about 10 times, then one of the cops asked for cuffs. Still used to yelling, an officer yelled "Why did you hit a police officer? You DON'T DO THAT!" Guess they wanted to make sure he learned that lesson!
The paramedics arrived and the suspect was then taken out on a stretcher about 20 mins. later.
Would have been interesting to actually have *seen* the context of what happened. I completely respect the danger (and assholes) that police officers have to deal with every day, but man, *DO NOT* fuck with the LAPD!
