I'm not saying they did or didn't do it but was there ever really any chance that Matrix was going to issue a statement admitting they did it? I say: No.

Maybe with all the postings and Squirtit's calling out for sponsors to respond may invoke several AVNonline statements like Matrix.
Seems a little fishy. The address I got the Acacia letter from is the address that my matrix stuff gets sent to. They're the ONLY ones who have that particular address. Everything else goes to another address. I dont know Norm.....
For what its worth I recieved my Acacia Final Notice 2 days ago and of the 8 companys they have listed Matrix is the only one who has my information, and it is addressed exactly as they have it. But that don't mean shit until I can see the entire list of companies that have settled. Just my
"The reason we chose to fight them was because, at first, they wanted our Webmasters and stuff," Bentley said. "The only (other) reason why we did settle was because they did not require us to inform (them of) anyone. When it first started, yes. But when we licensed, no
There goes what one of the other companies that settled said in another thread that Acacia wasn't asking for webmaster info

Exactly.. personally, i'm not going to bite. They actually had to release a statement about discussions going through message boards? I think someone is feeling a little insecure. Who are you trying to convince here Matrix? Yourselves?
We've had nothing but good business dealings with Matrix. Off the top of my head I know 3 businesses that are matrix clients that have not received any letters from acacia. We have old addresses in the Matrix client information database. We haven't received any letters there either. I think if they sold out then their whole client base would have been mailed.
I may be wrong, but I don't think matrix sold you out.
Everyone wants to point at programs that signed as the source of leaks but I'm thinking its not.
I'm beginning to suspect that Acacia simply purchased webmaster lists. Its common knowledge that they hired people within the industry as consultants to explain the ins and outs of the biz. Any one of those consultants would have answered the question "How do we get the names and addresses of the players in the market?" with the answer "Buy some lists".
Its also quite possible webmaster info was obtained from Matrix surreptitiously.
For example, maybe they had someone make an offer for a mailing list without saying they were affiliated with Acacia.
Or maybe it was an inside employee that figured he could make some quick bucks and contacted Acacia not saying he was with MC but just had some great webmaster lists.
Just something to think about.
Obviously its apparent if the common denominator is MC than somehow the info got to Acacia via that source.
i have an account with matrix and i havent received anything. Im waiting a couple days to be sure since im not in states. I hope its not Matrix because i've much respect about them so far. By not receiving though a letter doesnt mean anything. Acacia probably did a selective picking based on certain criteria. It makes sense first of all to see US based webmasters getting contacted.
fuck,if i could do a wish that would be 300 seconds with the Acacia CEO. 300 seconds would be enough
mr Bentley since he claims he didnt sell the info MUST find out which employees sold the list and take legal actions against him. From his interview he is against this practise. Let's see that IN ACTION.

big fish, this doesnt mean a lot if acacia did a selective picking. From what i see the majority of the webmasters contacted at the moment are US based.

I'd say your right... but remember.. in all fairness Matrix is defending themselves... focus on those that have settled and remained silent:
Wicked Pictures
Scorescash
CECash
Traffic Cash Gold - TCG (Dellwood Holdings)
New Frontier Media <--listed on their site
None of these people have spoken up to defend themselves... why not?

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
Well you should suspect someone.. Matrix people are not the only ones receiving packages.
Many have received packages with affiliate info that do not belong to Matrix.. so where are they coming from?
If you don't suspect those have have settled, and are listed, who do you suspect?
I shouldn't suspect anyone else because I KNOW my information came from Matrix Content. I'm sure that more than one company has sold out and given up their webmasters just to get a sweetheart deal but Matrix shot themselves in the foot on this one.
What pisses me off more then turning over names, is they keep lying about it. There seems to be enough circumstantial evidence, from mutlible sources to say other wise.
One thing to piss one me, but don't tell me its raining!!
Make big money on your Domains! Why wait 40 days to get paid with the other guys? Parked.com pays the most for your traffic, and cuts checks twice a month!

Because they know if they confess they will never make another sale again.
How easy would it be to start a site where affiliates, who have recieved the package at an address only known to sponsors, could list their sponsors. Would very quickly show who is the rat.
When Acacia are beaten some companies arew going to be out of business because they signed up to Acacia.

Acacia isn't asking for "Webmaster Contacts" ...
you seem to forget the media and stock spins & spins & spins ...
they are asking for "monthly sales reports" ...
ding dong - did the door bell ring ...
they are not asking for "Webmaster contacts" just the sales information of the biggest players ... oh and accidentally that happens to be "Webmaster contacts" ...

SexEducation.com will never report to Acacia

It has been 100% anonymous since inception and will stay that way. PERIOD

Yes - Charly ...
I agree ...
if one thing I have learned on GFY - mistakes take a long time to be forgiven in the "cliche" of the adult industry players ...
