Why is every content broker/producer blowing out?

something very wrong when an industry that does over a billion dollars a year with hundred of millions of webpages that need pics and video has content providers this desperate.

it really sucks. content providers bear some of the blame for their predicament.

It's just the current trend. It's just like Macy's having a holiday sale, which they have all the time. People have been telling me I should have a blowout, just for the sake of blowing out. My licensed content hasn't hardly been exposed at all, either.

I think the blame can be put on one person, but we can discuss that via ICQ. hehe

it all stems from silversteins original idea that all the content providers started to copy because it worked so well

not many innovate but hordes duplicate

I produce exclusive content now only. But my competitors make blowout frequently and I lose the clients. Therefore I use my old stocks for blowing out also

Tough being a content producer these days unless you have a lot of deals with paysites to do exclusive stuff.

it's summer. money to party. nothing more...nothing less.

For some it can be a way to attract new customers. They blow out older material that is for the most part just sitting there getting the occassional sale. If the quality is good the people attracted to the blowout may buy some of the newer material.

It also looks like a way for some producers to clean house of their older material and fund some additional new material or upgrades in equipment.

For others it just looks like the only way they make any money what so ever.

I can see some very high prices for original content.
As a new comer, I need to build a base of customers, so I have to sell my first offer at very low price....Build relationships with a few webmasters...then sell to them only...

I have god knows how much worth of content, and so does everyone else that has been this long in the biz.
