Why don't some of you guys offer full movie downloads with one file on your paysites? Is it a bandwith and retention issue or you guys just don't want the full movie files being spread on peer to peer networks?

I can understand their reasons.

we have given full movie files plus the movie chomped for the past 3 years on at least 3 of our sites. We make great bling from this kind of sale.
Bwidth is cheap as horseshit these days so it shouldnt stop anyone.

Well, I can't speak for others but the reason I do segments instead of full version is because up u/l and d/l times.
A lot of members feedback (of my sites anyways) prefer smaller clips as to not alienate the dial up user, and so they see what the clip's about in a 2 minute d/l versus a 15 or whatever. If they want the full length uninterupted, we put it on DVD.
Doing it this way keeps members happy, as well as my bank account.

Well we got round that by chopping movies into parts for dialup users and then when all parts are uploaded you bang up the full file uncut for braodband users. This also fills an update slot. Having full length movies is a MUST these days I think, when I look at our logs it seems like most surfers download the full length version, we also have them chopped in 1minute clips for the guys using modem, or just want a sneak peak at the movie.Comment

Most of my movies are 100mb each and I don't chop my shit down into one minute segments. I tell the dialup users to download the movie overnight and if they don't want to do that, they have thousands of pictures to look at and I update frequently.
I don't believe in video clips being shorter than 5-10 minutes...Preferably 10 because you can jerk off to a ten minute video without having to worry about greasing up your mouse to click every clip.Comment
