, why 5k? for normal driving i shift inbetween 2.5 - 3 no need to really take any car up to 5 unless you're racing

I Highly Doubt it - I've never heard of any problems along the lines from normal useage. I'm pretty sure it could become a future issue if you're dogging it and not shifting properly.
I have steptronic on the BM3 Series, never had any trouble.

you can use it it's just a matter of if your gonna beat on it its like any car if you treat the car good and don't jump on the gas and shift real hard its not gonna fuck up the transmission but if you shift normal like 3k-3500 rpms then your not stressing the transmission no breaking of the carGot Cam Models?
