A Must Read: I think designers who outsource should have a disclaimer about that...
I recently ordered a very small and simple order (2 gallery templates) with one of the industy's leading design companies...
Gave him (the guy who's ICQ is on the website) full details of what I needed...
He told me he needed to be paid first, I paid him...
That was about Tuesday/Wednesday
It's now early Monday morning..
and I have yet to even see any of the work
I'm not even mad or frustrated that it isn't completed yet..
but more so about the fact that I haven't even seen ANYTHING, so I don't know if it's going to be what I asked for...
Not even a rough draft of some sort
I ask him whats with the delays on such a small order
He tells me that the guy he outsources his gallery template work to is having computer problems....
And that he'll give the work to "another guy"
WTF?
I thought you were the designer...
From now on...
I'm only choosing to work with THE ACTUAL DESIGNERS...
for this type of reason....
It's such a VERY SMALL ORDER..
yet it still hasn't even been worked on so that I can see some sort of a preview
I think designers companies should say upfront...
"We outsource work" for certain services.....
and let customers know that they will be dealing with design middle men in certain situations...
just a little frustrated about this...
hopefully I'll get some form of contact with my designer or his "guy" very soon...
